Academic Teaching + Film Practice
'Donna is a valued member of the teaching team for Digital Video and Audio, teaching face-to-face classes on Mackay campus. She offers a wealth of technical and creative experience from her media arts work, and is regularly engaged with arts events and projects in the community and nationally. Students value her currency and activity in creative practice, as well as her attentiveness to their learning. She has taught into the unit for many years, and is very confident in her delivery of the unit content. She maintains comprehensive records and keeps in communication with me in my capacity as unit coordinator, which is very important given our communication is limited to online due to being based on different campuses. We have had some conversations about the potential for Donna to pursue PHD studies as that would open more opportunities within the academy, though further academic pursuits is understandably not a priority for her as she already has an established creative practice career that provides the disciplinary foundation for her teaching.'
