Site-Specific Installations

Donna Maree Robinson’s site-specific light installations and large-scale projections transform architectural surfaces and public spaces into living, breathing environments of colour, movement and atmosphere. Working intuitively with the character of each site, she layers light, shadow and digitally sculpted imagery to reveal unseen textures of place—its histories, ecologies and emotional resonances. Her projections do not simply illuminate buildings; they temporarily reimagine them, dissolving their edges and inviting viewers into an immersive encounter where landscape, memory and sensory perception intertwine. Through this practice, Robinson creates ephemeral moments of wonder that bind community to environment, allowing familiar spaces to be experienced anew.
